AIT處長酈英傑昨天和外交部長吳釗燮及國家通訊傳播委員會主委陳耀祥共同發布「5G安全共同宣言」。正如酈英傑處長致詞時所說：「我們很驕傲能夠與真正可靠的夥伴—台灣，一起公開宣布我們在5G安全的共享價值和緊密合作。」5G科技不只讓手機網速更快，也會影響我們生活的各個層面。所有人都要能夠相信自己所用的5G設備不會威脅其國家安全、隱私、智慧財產權或人權。目前台灣的五大5G電信商都是美國國務院認證的「乾淨電信商」，台灣也是「5G乾淨路徑倡議」的成員。

💪🏻SECURITY COOPERATION MONTH: “REAL FRIENDS, REAL PROGRESS”🤝
August is AIT Security Cooperation Month! Joined by Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu and Taiwan’s NCC Chairman Chen Yaw-Shyang, AIT Director Brent Christensen announced the AIT-TECRO Joint Declaration on 5G Security yesterday. As Director Christensen said in his remarks, “We are proud to stand with Taiwan, a truly reliable partner, to publicly proclaim our shared values and close cooperation on 5G Security.” 5G will not just bring us faster phones. It will touch every aspect of our lives. Every level of users needs to be able to trust that their 5G equipment will not threaten their national security, privacy, intellectual property, or human rights. Right now, all of Taiwan’s five 5G telecom providers are considered by the U.S. Department of State to be Clean Carriers, and Taiwan is a member of the 5G Clean Path Initiative.
